Manufacturing Facilities

Manufacturing Facilities

UASI provides cutting-edge capabilities in advanced manufacturing technologies, housed within the state-of-the-art Applied Research Building (ARB). These facilities are designed to meet the exacting needs of internal teams, external clients, and research collaborators.

The ARB features 3D metal printing capabilities, enabling the production of complex, high-precision components tailored for aerospace applications. Complementing this is our gas metal atomization technology, which produces high-quality metal powders with controlled particle size and composition, essential for additive manufacturing and other advanced processes. Together, these capabilities support innovation in spacecraft and instrument development, fostering efficiency and performance in aerospace manufacturing.

These services are available for internal and external users. For detailed specifications, pricing, and availability, please contact us at the email below.

3D Metal Printer

3D Metal Printing

3D metal printing, a form of additive manufacturing, uses high-powered lasers or electron beams to selectively melt and fuse metal powder layer by layer, enabling the creation of intricate shapes with design flexibility and is widely used across industries for both prototypes and end-use parts.

Gas Metal Atomization

Gas Metal Atomization

Gas metal atomization in metallurgy creates fine, uniform metal powders by forcing molten metal through a high-pressure inert gas stream, resulting in small droplets that quickly solidify into spherical particles used in various applications, including additive manufacturing, metal injection molding and surface coating.
